Peter Baughen gained an HND (Distinction) at Seale-Hayne and after several years experience on mixed farms in Hampshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire joined Savills’ farm management department in 1985. A director of Gasson Associates, Peter is involved in the management of farms throughout central and southern England.
Mike Ewence is an experienced farm/estate manager. After training at Berkshire College of Agriculture, he was employed as a working farm manager on estates in Buckinghamshire, Kent and Hampshire. In 1989 he joined Savills as a farm business consultant working together with Peter and was a founder employee of Gasson Associates. A director of Gasson Associates, Mike is involved in the management of farms throughout the UK, including Scotland.
Emma Watson joined the Gasson Associates team in 1998 after attending university in Newcastle Upon Tyne where she gained a degree in Agriculture with honours in Farm Business Management. She retains close links to practical farming with her involvement in the family farm in North Oxfordshire. Emma became a director of the company in 2009.
Paul Harper joined the Gasson Associates team in 1995 having previously worked in farm business management in Lincolnshire. He comes from a farming family in North Oxfordshire and has an agricultural degree specialising in business management. He retains close links to practical farming with his involvement in the family farm. Paul became a director of the company in 2005.
Annie Willans spent thirteen years in general estate management before joining Gasson Associates at the start of 2010 as Accounts Manager, and has overall responsibility for the bookkeeping department. She is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) and also brings with her a good practical knowledge of agricultural and estate management.
Lucy Tuluhungwa joined Gasson Associates in 2014 as Business Manager having previously worked at Cadbury Schweppes Plc as a commodity trader and global cocoa buyer. She has also worked for Diageo as a grain and raw material buyer. Lucy has extensive experience in procurement, soft commodity trading (LIFFE & NYBOT), grain trading and project management. She gained a degree in Agriculture with honours in Agronomy from Newcastle University.
Jamie Williams MRICS worked in commercial and rural practice joining Gasson’s in 2013. He gained a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from Edinburgh, an MA in Property Valuation & Law from City University and worked in property investment & development for CBRE. Jamie is a planning specialist advising on property management and development, renewable energy schemes, rural tourism, diversification and rural management.
Charlotte Lay joined in January 2015 after three years at the CLA providing expert advice to the members and lobbying Government on their behalf. Previously she worked as a Farm Environment Consultant advising on agri-environment schemes, organic conversion, BPS, cross compliance and ecological surveys. Charlotte grew up on a farm in Oxfordshire and has a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Conservation from Plymouth University.
Edward Brown joined Gasson Associates in March 2015 after graduating from the RAU in Cirencester with a degree in Rural Land Management. Edward gained experience on arable, beef and vegetable farms in Cambridgeshire prior to and during his time at university. Edward is a FACTS qualified advisor, an associate member of BIAC and a probationary member of the CAAV with a view to gaining full membership of both.
Jake Williams joined the company in August 2017 after graduating from Harper Adams University with a degree in Business Management with Agriculture. Jake worked at John Deere Head Office as his placement and Velcourt on estates in the South-West previous to and during his time at university giving him insight into various sectors of the industry. Jake is a keen sportsman representing many high level rugby teams in his career to date
